About

On Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, Limp Bizkit follow up Significant Other by again throttling listeners with furious combinations of metallic crunch and bad-boy alienation, tricked out with DJ Lethal’s samples and breaks. Fred Durst swaggers and spits pure rage on “Full Nelson” and “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle),” both of which find the sweet spot between mosh pit anthem and lowrider jam. The singer saves his most personal attacks for “Boiler,” a savage love-gone-wrong throwdown soaked in dejection.
