About
Bio was released in August 1973 on Chess Record, catalogue CH 50043. Following the massive commercial success of his London session, the album took a distinctly different musical approach by focusing heavily on autobiographical themes and nostalgic storytelling. On several track, Berry was backed by the prominent jazz-rock and blues group The Elephant's Memory, alongside his longtime musical partner Johnnie Johnson. .
