Mexican composer and orchestra leader
(San Pedro Tesistán, Jocotepec, Jalisco, 30 Jul. 1913 - Cahuacán, Estado de México, 2000)
He was one of the most important Mexican composers of ranchera music, creator of Mexican music icons, and themes for films, as well as musicalizing many of them. Born in Jalisco, he was also together with maestro Manuel Esperón, one of the leading composers of artists such as Jorge Negrete, Pedro Infante and the great figures of the golden age of Mexican cinema. deserving of the Gold Record for more than a million albums of the theme «Por Un Amor», Goddess of Silver for the theme «Que Te Ha Dado Esa Mujer»
