Biography
Water Damage is an American experimental/noise rock/drone supergroup from Austin, Texas, formed circa 2018 by George Dishner of Spray Paint with his Expensive Shit bandmates, brothers Greg and Jeff Piwonka, Nate Cross from USA/Mexico, and Mike Kanin from Marriage. Soon after, the cast further expanded with the addition of third drummer, Thor Harris (from Swans and dozens other projects), Travis Austin (of Forty Second Scandals and Early Drinker duo with Dishner) on bowed guitar, and vocalist Mari Maurice/More Eaze. Over the following years, a revolving cast of additional members and featured guests would join Water Damage for some recording sessions and concerts, including guitarists Jonathan Horne and Ajay Saggar,, and other fellow artists. The band is signed to 12XU (USA), a side-label of Matador co-founder Gerard Cosloy, and Cardinal Fuzz (UK/Europe), also releasing live records and special editions via Waveform Detritus Records private imprint.
