Biography
Belgian (Flemish) singer/songwriter/comedian born on the 7th June 1949 at Dilbeek (Belgium). Originally called Urbanus Van Anus but with the release of his fifth album, (Is Er Toevallig Een Urbanus In De Zaal? (Belgium 1980) (opens in a new tab)), he dropped the "Van Anus".
Following the release of first album Leevend (Belgium 1974) (opens in a new tab) his success skyrocketed not only in Belgium but also in Holland. By the mid-80's he widened his field to comics, movies and TV work. In 1987 he stopped performing live, returning to the stage in 1995.
