Biography
The Moon was formed in the late 1960s in Los Angeles by songwriter Matthew Moore with keyboardist, drummer, producer, and engineer Larry Brown, bassist Andy (Drew) Bennett (opens in a new tab), and guitarist David Marks. all still in their teens. Working at Continental Studio in Hollywood, they locked themselves in for marathon sessions focused on precision, experimentation, and elaborate arrangements. Their work from 1967 to 1969 produced the albums Without Earth and The Moon, cult favorites later reissued after years of relative obscurity.
