Biography

The Gaylads are a Jamaican vocal group. They were one of the top rocksteady vocal groups active in Jamaica between 1963 and 1973.
The group was formed around 1964 when Winston Delano Stewart & B.B. Seaton met. Around 1970 Delano Stewart left the band for a solo career, replaced by Ricky Grant, who will be himself replaced by Howard Barrett for some titles. The band finished as a duo until 1972 when BB also left for a solo career.
At the end of the 1970's, BB and Maurice Roberts reformed the band with and under the name of the Righteous Foundation and then The Psalms.
