Biography
Facts Of Life were an American soul trio, based in New York and Chicago, formed & produced by Millie Jackson after she met Tyrone Davis's sister Jean on the road and became friends with her. After Carter & Williams were also recruited, the trio first recorded under the name The Gospel Truth, for their Millie Jackson produced debut 7" Uphill Peace Of Mind (opens in a new tab) (Kayvette 1975).
Allegedly, Jackson had wanted to produce individual records with Carter, Davis and Williams but time restraints prevented that, so she assembled them into the trio.
