The Candymen is a music group from Dothan, United States, active 1965–1972.
Biography
American rock band, active from 1965 to 1972. The group were managed by Alabama producer and songwriter Buddy Buie, and included guitarists John Rainey Adkins, Barry Bailey, and James B. Cobb Jr., singer Rodney Justo, drummer Robert Nix, and keyboard player Dean Daughtry. They started out as the backing band of Roy Orbison, and were credited on the single Oh Pretty Woman (as The Candy Men). Some of its members would later form the Atlanta Rhythm Section.
