Biography
A black metal band from Bergen, Norway, founded in 1995 by Hoest (Ørjan Stedjeberg).
Initially founded as Thule in 1993, but changed name to Taake in 1995. The name represents the fog around the seven mountains of his hometown Bjørgvin (Bergen). Taake has always been a solo project of Hoest, who is the the leading force of the band and often handles all instruments on recordings. Still, he uses various session musicians depending on the needs of the current project and more importantly to have a full line-up for live performances.
Current line-up:
Hoest (Ørjan Stedjeberg) - vocals, all instruments
Live members:
Gjermund Fredheim - guitars (since 2007)
Aindiachaí (Adam Dunlea) - guitars (since 2007)
V'gandr - bass (since 2007)
Eld (Frode Kilvik) - bass (since 2015)
Rune Nesse - drums (since 2019)
