Biography
Sweet Sensation were formed in Manchester in 1971. They found fame after appearing on ITV's talent show New Faces. In 1974, they reached No.1 in the UK charts with “Sad Sweet Dreamer”. Their follow-up "Purely by Coincidence" reached No. 11. Often billed as Britain's answer to the Jackson Five, they had great success in the mid-1970s and were the forerunners of many similar acts.
