Rhythm 'n' blues - doo wop bass singer
New Yorker, Sherman (born, June 8, 1940 – died, February 26, 1977) attended Edward W. Stitt Junior High School and later George Washington High School, he joined fellow classmates to form a vocal group. Initially called The Earth Angels, the lineup evolved over time and eventually became known as The Teenagers. Garnes, known for his tall stature and deep bass voice, played a vital role in anchoring the group’s harmonies.
He provided the foghorn voice in Jimmy Castor's releases. Born New York, New York 1940-1977.
