Biography
Phalanx was an acclaimed American avant-garde jazz quartet that thrived as a powerful powerhouse supergroup in the mid-to-late 1980s. Known for their explosive mix of free jazz, free funk, and harmolodic structures, the band brought together some of the most influential innovators of the loft jazz and free jazz movements.
