Biography
American Punk band from Cleveland, Ohio.
The Pagans formed in 1977, by brothers Mike Hudson (guitar), Brian Hudson (drums), and their friend Tim Allee (bass). Soon vocalist Robert Conn entered the band, but after the release of the group's first single, he departed. Mike took up the vocals, while adding second guitarist Mike Metoff. After releasing three singles, the group disbanded in November 1979.
In 1982, Mike Hudson, Metoff and Conn revived the Pagans, with new members Bob Richey (drums) and Chas Smith (keyboards). The band toured and released "The Pink Album" before splitting again in 1983. In 1986, Mike Hudson, Metoff, Allee, Richey and new drummer David Scott Liston, reunited again, releasing the live album "The Godlike Power of the Pagans Live". This line-up disbanded in 1989, with mini-LP "Family Fare" being released the next year.
Mike Hudson reformed the Pagans again in 2014, backed by an all-new lineup of Loren Molinare (guitar), Mike D'Amico (bass), Tony Matteucci (drums) and Ben Reagan (guitar), releasing the album "Hollywood High". In 2015, he brought in another new lineup of John Dzubak (guitar), Eric Schrader (bass) and Justin Lack (drums).
Hudson died on October 27, 2017, thus putting an end to the group.
