LUNA SEA is a music group from Japan, active since 1986.
Biography
Formed in 1989, the band consisted of members RYUICHI (vocals), SUGIZO (guitar, violin), INORAN (guitar), J (bass), and 真矢 (Shinya) (drums/percussion).
LUNA SEA was one of the major forces in visual rock throughout the 1990s, promoted by the late Hideto Matsumoto (hide) (opens in a new tab). They were signed and released their first album on Yoshiki’s (opens in a new tab) Extasy Records (opens in a new tab).
