Biography
Jorge Flores founded, around 1952, together with his brother Sergio Flores (requinto), with (first voice) and with Luis Cruz, the Trio Los Tecolines. The brothers Sergio and Jorge Flores, before founding Los Tecolines, formed the Los Zenzontles trio. In a presentation they had in Durango, they heard Antonio Velázquez sing at the same event and invited him to form a trio as a first voice. Antonio accepted the invitation and went to Mexico to form the Los Tecolines trio, a trio that made a large number of recordings and achieved enormous popularity.
Other members of Los Tecolines were: Enrique Cáceres (founder of Las Sombras and then first voice for several years of Los Panchos); Manuel Gudiño, Juan Valdés, Jesús García, Jorge Alarcón, Pepe de la Cruz, Gilberto Luna, Lázaro Galindo, Antonio López, now of Azul Bohemia...
