Biography

The Lawson-Haggart Jazz Band was founded in 1951 by trumpeteer Yank Lawson and bassist Bob Haggart, originally as a sextet with trombonist Lou McGarity, clarinetist Bill Stegmeyer, pianist Lou Stein and drummer Cliff Leeman.
Between 1951 and 1954, they released a number of albums on the label, for which, Haggart also worked as a studio arranger.
