Biography

José Mário Branco was born in Porto, Portugal (2th May 1942). He was a Portuguese singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Close friend to other musicians of his generation, with whom he played and recorded, such as Sérgio Godinho and Fausto Bordalo Dias. Although his most iconic extended play is the highly political "FMI", his most mature long play is probably the jazz influenced "Resistir é vencer". He died in Lisboa, Portugal (19th November 2019).
