Biography

Polish pop-rock band, formed 1975 by Zbigniew Nowak
Happy End made its debut in the spring of 1975 in the Łódź Broadcasting Station of the Polish Radio. In the 1970s he took part in numerous stage events and TV programs. He has won several awards. He has performed in many European countries (Czechoslovakia, Finland, Norway, East Germany, Sweden, USSR), as well as in Polish diaspora centers in Canada and the USA. The band performed at the Soviet Song Festival in Zielona Góra [1]. In 1979 it changed its composition, and in 1981 it disbanded. The Nowaks left for the United States, where Zbigniew worked as a pianist, and in a duet they performed under the name Danny & Didi [2].
Reactivation took place in 1988, when the band resumed operations in the US as Duo Happy End or Zbyszek & Danusia Happy End, performing at their own DiDi club in Chicago.
A few years ago, the Nowak family returned to Poland, where they continue their musical activities, performing with the program Musical adventures with Happy End.
Happy End is currently operating in a new line-up, which includes: Danuta Nowak, Ludmiła Małecka and Artur Grudziński.
