Biography
British progressive metal band formed in London in 2007 by Richard Henshall and Ross Jennings.
After releasing Aquarius in 2010 and Visions in 2011, the band got international success in the progressive scene with 2013's The Mountain, a record which shows a mix of different styles in their music (including jazz, pop, electronic and 70s progressive music). Starting with 2014 EP Restoration - first record with bassist Conner Green replacing Thomas MacLean - Haken approached a heavier side, with concept albums Affinity (2016), Vector (2018), and Virus (2020). Keyboardist and founding member Peter Jones rejoined the lineup in 2022, following Diego Tejeida departure. 2023 shows the band's 7th album Fauna, a return to their prog rock roots while keeping the heavy influences.
2026 EP In A Fever Dream marked the first release by Haken as a four piece element, comprised of Jennings, Henshall, Jones and Hearne.
