Biography

Green Jellÿ is a heavy/alternative metal/punk rock band from Buffalo, New York, New York, that was formed in 1981 under the name Green Jellö. In 1987, the band moved from Buffalo to Los Angeles, California. In 1992, the band changed its name to Green Jellÿ, because it was sued by Kraft Foods for trademark infringement in 1992 (due to the use of "Jellö" in their name).
Green Jellÿ, which is known for its sophomoric humor, has reportedly had over 250 members over the years, with the only constant member being founder Bill Manspeaker.
