Frank Spilker

German singer, songwriter, musician and author, born March 16, 1966 in Herford.
Spilker grew up in region Ostwestfalen-Lippe and in the mid-1980's, he started his musical career on local independent label. In 1987, still in Herford, he founded Die Sterne. Due to his civil service in Hannover, he moved to the north of Germany, in 1990 finally to Hamburg. In Hamburg, "Die Sterne" became a band in 1991, while the initial project was driven by Spilker, who wanted to save the name for a music group.
The band became one of the most prominent bands of the so-called "Hamburger Schule"-movement in Germany in the 1990's. In 2018, Spilker reformed the band and changed the line-up completely. In the 1990's, he also worked on scores for movies, in the 2000's, he worked on his first audio book, in 2013, he released his first novel.
