Biography

Frank Hannon, celebrated as the lead guitarist and co-founder of the multi-platinum rock band TESLA, has forged a notable career since the 1980s, driving hits like "Love Song" and "Modern Day Cowboy." Rising alongside contemporaries such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eddie Van Halen, Hannon carved his niche with a soulful, melodic style rooted in the bluesy rock of TESLA’s sound. Heavily influenced by 1970s rock icons and the legendary Jimi Hendrix. The decade’s giants—bands like Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and Deep Purple—shaped his raw, riff-driven approach, while Hendrix’s expressive, psychedelic flair left a lasting imprint on his dynamic solos and innovative use of effects. Beyond TESLA, Hannon has ventured into solo work and collaborations with figures like Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers Band, Rick Derringer, Pat Travers, Dave Meniketti among many others, as well as producing many younger up and coming artists that are progressing such as JT Loux, who recently signed a recording contract in Nashville.
Frank Hannon's upcoming album, REFLECTIONS, due in May 2025, is an all-guitar instrumental project recorded uniquely on his cell phone, blending his ’70s-inspired roots with a modern twist. This release underscores his evolution as a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter.
