Biography
Oakland rapper/actor Dru Down was first introduced to the world through friend, turned producer/manager, Chris "” Hicks. His first album Fools From The Streets released in 1993. This record gave him his biggest single to date, Pimp of the Year (radio version - Mack of the Year), and featured the underground classic “Ice Cream Man” as well. The album was soon picked up by Relativity Records and re-released in 1994 with additional new songs. Dru Down returned in 1996 with his biggest commerical release Can You Feel Me, which garnered mainstream play with its self-titled track as the lead single. Following his departure from Relativity Records Dru Down continues to release music under his own label; all while additionally being featured in films and executive-producing his own films as well.
