Biography

Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains (aka C2B3) was an Experimental jazz jam rock supergroup comprised of bassist Les Claypool, guitarist Buckethead, keyboardist legend Bernie Worrell and drummer Bryan Mantia aka Brain.
The band came together during the "Bonnaroo Music and Arts festival" in 2002. Bill Laswell was going performing as Praxis alongside Worrell, Brain, and Buckethead. Les Claypool (on a break from his platinum band Primus), who was scheduled to play with his other group Les Claypool's Frog Brigade, asked them to jam with him as Laswell was unable to perform at the show. They created the idea of this supergroup & played there as Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains (a combination of all the band members' names).
The group was put on hiatus during Buckethead tenure in Guns N' Roses, reunited in 2004 to record their only album "The Big Eyeball in the Sky" & did an 18-state tour of the US.
C2B3 briefly reunited sans Brain at the 2006 Wakarusa Festival, when Bernie and Buckethead joined Les Claypool's Fancy Band onstage and performed "the Big Eyeball in the Sky." Claypool dubbed this rendition "Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Baldi," referring to Paulo Baldi, the drummer for Cake and Les Claypool's Fancy Band.
Lineup: Les Claypool (Vocals, Bass), Buckethead (Guitars), Bernie Worrell (Keyboards), Bryan "Brain" Mantia (Drums).
