American jazz baritone saxophonist, born June 11, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri, died August 28, 1955 in California (car accident).
Gordon was a cool jazz saxophonist, best known as a sideman with Stan Kenton, Shelly Manne, Chet Baker, Maynard Ferguson, trombonist Herbie Harper and tenor saxophonist Jack Montrose, among others.
