Biography

Ann Bogan (born March 17, 1941, Cleveland, Ohio, USA - died August 6, 2026) was an American singer.
Ann sang uncredited lead vocals on both sides of the The Andantes' single (Like A) Nightmare (US 1964) (opens in a new tab) (b/w If You Were Mine) released in 1964, on which the group provided background vocals.
In 1968, Ann replaced Gladys Horton as lead singer in The Marvelettes, however after their 1967 hit single My Baby Must Be A Magician, the group struggled as their releases received minimal promotional support from Motown. After The Marvelettes dissolved in 1970, Ann joined New Birth and also Love, Peace & Happiness. In 1972, Ann retired from the music industry to raise her family.
