Cuban born violinist of classical formation (Julliard School graduate) before making violin a salsa instrument (hence his nickname “El violín de la salsa”), based in New York, he also lived in Colombia (~1983/1999), he has played with Eddie Palmieri, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Santana,... (born in Havana, 7 Feb. 1954).
