About
If the four words of this record’s title set the stage for dramatic intrigue, the surf beats, buzzy guitars, and pattering bongo beats of You Me Bullets Love is a pedal-to-the-metal blast of Bond-meets-Bollywood thrills. The Melbourne-based retro fetishists excel at nailing the aesthetic of vintage Hindi hits, B-movie soundtracks, and sinister kitsch. The attention to detail here—spooky vocal echoes, whining analog keyboards, and every old guitar amp in the closet—adds up to an exhilarating ride in a musical time machine.
