About
George Harrison’s first solo album also provided the soundtrack to the Joe Massot film Wonderwall. And its sublime instrumentals reflect Harrison’s interest in Indian music (“Gat Kirwani”), psychedelic rock jams (“Party Seacombe”), keyboard-based tunes (“Drilling a Home”), and even “Cowboy Music.” Track titles like “Dream Scene” or “Love Scene” might seem generic—but whether it's a melodic Mellotron, texture-shifting tape edits, voices singing in numerous languages, or an inspired sitar jam, the album is a free-spirited success.
