As mentioned by Del Halterman in his book Walk-Don't Run - The Story of the Ventures (p. 137), "Action Plus" is a thinly disguised and renamed cover of "Teen Machine" written by Derry Weaver, and recorded by his group, The Gamblers, on this single: Teen Machine / Tonky (US 1961) (opens in a new tab).
