The editions here comprise the Stephen Hague produced 1985 version of "West End Girls". The song was originally produced by Bobby Orlando and released in 1984 (see West End Girls) and became a minor club hit. In 1985, Pet Shop Boys signed with EMI / Parlophone and re-recorded the song with producer Stephen Hague. This version was released in October 1985 (February 1986 in North America) and topped the charts worldwide.
