Originally released 1985 in some markets.
Re-released in 1987 in other markets with new artwork and an updated tracklisting to include To Be A Lover.
All of the remixes come from the original 12″ single extended versions, except "Catch My Fall", which features a new remix that was exclusive to this compilation upon release and "Hot In The City" which is slightly different to the original Extended Mix
Some of the original remixes were renamed for this compilation, but they are the same versions as noted below:
Dancing With Myself (Uptown Mix) originally on the 1981 4 (UK 1981) (opens in a new tab) EP 12" as (Extended Version) and on a US promo 12".
White Wedding (Parts I & II) (Shot Gun Mix) originally on the 1982 White Wedding (US 1982) (opens in a new tab) 12" as simply (Parts 1 & 2)
But renamed as (Shot Gun Mix) on the 1985 White Wedding Parts I & II (Shot Gun Mix) (UK 1985) (opens in a new tab) 12" re-release to promote this compilation
Flesh For Fantasy (Below The Belt Mix) originally on the 1983 Flesh For Fantasy (Below The Belt Mix) (US 1984) (opens in a new tab) 12"
Catch My Fall (Remix Fix) exclusive to this compilation in 1985
(although the (Remix Fix) version was later released as a single in its own right as Catch My Fall (Re-mix Fix) (UK 1988) (opens in a new tab) in 1988 to promote the Idol Songs - 11 Of The Best (UK 1988) (opens in a new tab) compilation).
Love Calling (Rub A Dub Dub Mix) originally on the 1983 Dancing With Myself (New Zealand 1983) (opens in a new tab) 12" as simply (Dub)
Mony Mony (Downtown Mix) originally on the 1981 Don't Stop (US 1981) (opens in a new tab) 12" with no remix or version signifier.
It was simply the longer version in comparison to the shorter version on the 7"
Hot In The City (Exterminator Mix) is identical to the original 1982 Hot In The City (Extended Version) (UK 1982) (opens in a new tab) 12" (Extended Mix),
Except for it has a hard ending instead of the long fade-out.
The (Exterminator Mix) was later released as a single in its own right as Hot In The City (Europe 1988) (opens in a new tab) in 1987 to promote the video compilation and the reissue of Vital Idol
To Be A Lover (Mother Of Mercy Mix) originally on the 1987 To Be A Lover (UK 1986) (opens in a new tab) 12"
