Named after producer Eric Radcliffe's house, where the album was recorded upstairs (they had to build a studio in ten days because Blackwing Studios was fully booked) from Vince Clarke's Splendid Studios. The "Eric's Mum" vocal credit on the album belongs to Eric's mother who provided them all with "egg and chips" and also appeared on the record.
