Originally released on September 24, 2002 through Roadrunner Records.
Recorded on December 16.
The title of the album "Under A Pale Grey Sky" is a lyric in the title track from the band's fourth album Arise.
Sepultura’s last European tour (with the original line up) began in Belgium on November 20, 1996, and ended just under a month later on December 16, at the London’s Brixton Academy (Under A Pale Grey Sky) live performance.
That day band's contract with their manager Gloria Cavalera ended, this was the last live performance of the band (with the original line up) and the day that the band (with the original line up) split.
(The band with the current line up do not list this album as part of their discography)
The intro of Max Cavalera on track "Attitude" concerns Dana Wells, Max's son who had died 3 months earlier.
