Recorded at Sound City Studios (Los Angeles), Grandmaster Studios (Los Angeles), Water Music (Hoboken, NJ) and RPM Studios (NYC), November 1998 - January 1999
Maybe we liked the name because it had an exotic ring; maybe we had been aware of the name subliminally; or maybe it was the energy behind a name responsible for some of the world's most incredible feats of mountaineering, and a global legion of inspired followers...at any rate we'd love to tell you we're just fucking cool and knew what we were doing, but alas, the credit goes to our cosmic collaborator on this album; coincidence. Thanks to Reinhold Messner for being a hero, and now a good sport.
