"The Name of the Game" was the first single from ABBA's fifth studio album "ABBA - The Album". It topped the UK Singles Chart and was the second of three consecutive UK No.1 singles, following "Knowing Me, Knowing You" and preceding "Take a Chance on Me". A Top 5 or Top 10 hit in several other countries, the track almost reached the US Top 10, peaking at No.12 in March 1978.
An edited version, omitting the entire second verse and reducing the track length by almost a minute, was released on a promo single in the US. It would later surface on the first editions of "Gold" and (inadvertently) on the first CD editions of "The Album".
"I Wonder (Departure)" was originally one of four songs included in the mini-musical "The Girl With The Golden Hair", performed by ABBA on their 1977 world tour, documented in "ABBA - The Movie". The B-Side recording comes from the concert in Sydney, Australia in March 1977. A studio version would be included on "ABBA - The Album".
