Created from a soundboard recording kept for 40 years by pedal steel player Neil Flanz, then acquired by Amoeba Music and maintained for another 10 years in their Los Angeles store. The tape was rediscovered when Amoeba moved to a new location. In collaboration with Gram Parsons' family, a Kickstarter campaign was established to restore the tape and produce the album.
