The Hustle Continues

About

“Icon.” “Legend.” “A god in the south.” “First n***a with a song with Katy Perry.” These are just a few of the ways Juicy J describes himself on “BEST GROUP,” the opening track of THE HUSTLE CONTINUES. (“Who the best group ever did it? Three 6!” goes the chorus.) Juice doesn’t spend too much more of the album awarding himself props, but after some 30 years of putting in work, it’s important that rap fans understand what he means to hip-hop. Juicy J’s catalog and style are timeless, and we’re made to understand this on THE HUSTLE CONTINUES by way of the artists who pay homage to the OG in the form of guest verses. THE HUSTLE CONTINUES features contributions from Lil Baby, 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, Conway, Logic, NLE Choppa, Megan Thee Stallion, Ty Dolla $ign, Jay Rock, Key Glock, Young Dolph, Wiz Khalifa, and Project Pat. These are artists who, in addition to having the skill to keep up with Juicy J on record, have in most instances openly professed their love for the Juice Mane and his music. The fact of the matter is in 2020 you’d be hard-pressed to find a working MC who wasn’t influenced by Juicy J. And even if you could find one, they’d very likely still love to hop on a track with him.
