About

Marilyn Manson takes a dynamic approach to indignation on his seventh studio album, proving that even two decades into his career, his apocalyptic rage hasn’t soothed one bit. Acoustic guitars add a gothic bite to the explosive murder-suicide power ballad "Devour," while the slinky "Wow" is all space-age '70s disco-glam. Such levity makes the LP's more aggressive moments—like the society-scorning hard-rock swerve "Blank and White" or the molten industrial rocker “Pretty As a ($)”—that much more scalding.
