"Later for the Rock" is the same composition as "Dear John" on LP and CD releases. On the 1987 Mosaic Records release of this material, writer Loren Schoenberg notes that the tune is the same. Blue Note's 45 rpm single of Dear John / Blue Monday (US 1959) (opens in a new tab) is presumably the same "Dear John" released on the LP and CD collections.
The 1959 recording "A Light Reprieve" in this collection is not the same composition as the 1961 "A Light Reprieve" recording on It Might As Well Be Spring.
It is possible, but not confirmed, that there is some kind of discographical mix-up of title information in the 1987 Mosaic edition that is reproduced in the 2005 Blue Note CD edition regarding "A Light Reprieve" and/or "Later for the Rock" / "Dear John".
