Thank You Happy Birthday by Cage The Elephant

Thank You Happy Birthday is an Alt/Indie album by Cage The Elephant, originally released in 2011. On Gatefold: 21 pressings tracked, owned by 18 collectors.

About

On their second album, Kentucky's Cage the Elephant display an innate sense of when to tighten up and when to let it hang out. "Shake Me Down" is powered by a buffed-to-a-sheen jangle-guitar riff, while the chorus of "Right Before My Eyes" is a wonderland of layered, spiraling hooks. But the band know how to deliver their carefully calibrated anthems as if they were effortless, drowning the hipster-baiting "Indy Kidz" in enough fuzz to make it almost feel like an in-the-moment rough cut.
