Telepathic With the Deceased is Xasthur's third full-length album, released on June 15, 2004. It has a relatively slower and more ambient sound as compared to the previous two LP. While writing/recording this album, Malefic was going through what seems to have been a dissociative episode; "...that album was a really strange one to me. Like, I was really losing my mind at the time, basically. I couldn't tell the difference between day and night, and I couldn't tell the difference between one week from the next, or one month. I was like, I looked around me; 'is this life or is it not?' Luckily, I was able to take that and make something out of it." .
