"Tako Tsubo" is the second studio album by French electronic band L'Impératrice. The album's title refers to a medical condition also known as "broken heart syndrome," which occurs when the heart's main pumping chamber weakens due to intense emotional distre. Released on March 26, 2021, "Tako Tsubo" features a departure from the French chanson style that characterized the band's first album, "Matahari." Instead, the album showcases a diverse range of musical style, including disco, funk, and synthpop. The album was produced by Renaud Letang (known for his work with artists such as Feist and Jarvis Cocker) and mixed by Neal Pogue (known for his work with Outkast and Tyler, the Creator).
