About

Space Ghost's Musical Bar-B-Que is the first of two commercially available Cartoon Planet soundtrack albums, released in 1997 through Kid Rhino on CD. The second album in the series is Space Ghost's Surf & Turf. The album features songs and comedy skits performed by the show's main characters: Space Ghost, along with his antagonists Zorak and Brak. The release captures the distinctive musical comedy style of Cartoon Planet, a spin-off series from Space Ghost Coast to Coast.

Album notes

Discogs page for these notes (opens in a new tab)

Notes from the original pressing. Later editions may differ.

This version was pressed at as evidenced by a mould SID code starting with 'IFPI 2V'. This is stamped in the clear plastic of the hub and is most visible in reflection. Although it has a 'wea mfg. OLYPHANT' logo in the matrix area, that is only where the glass was mastered in preparation for manufacture.
Space Ghost's Musical Bar-B-Que (US 1997) (opens in a new tab) is a similar version that was mastered at, as the logo is also present, but was not pressed at Commerce since the mould SID code does not start with 'IFPI 2V'.
