About
More than a decade before he exploded into pop music consciousness as one half of Gnarls Barkley, CeeLo Green ran anchor for a conscious rap quartet that, along with Outkast, put Atlanta hip-hop on the map. Soul Food, Goodie Mob’s absolutely perfect debut, boasts production from fellow ATL legends Organized Noize, who provide bluesy soundscapes built to sustain earnest reflections on being poor, black, and gifted in the rural South. Come for the trap culture of '90s Atlanta; stay for one of André 3000's earliest scene-stealing guest verses.
