After "Waterloo", it took a good year (and a couple of relatively unsuccessful singles) for ABBA to get another international hit. "SOS" made #6 in the UK and #15 in the US, but the Top 3 in most other countries it was released in.
No uniform artwork appears but "Man In The Middle" was the B-side on most releases. A few countries where the previous single "I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do" hadn't been released, used that track as B-side instead (Spain, East Germany, Turkey, Venezuela, Japan). Most Turkey issues list "SOS" first on the sleeve, but on the label it is marked to be the B-side. Italy chose to skip "Mamma Mia" as an A-side and used it as B-side here. "Hasta Manana" appeared on the Greek issue, "Dance" in Brazil, "Honey Honey" in Panama.
