Album notes

Discogs page for these notes (opens in a new tab)

Songs For A Nervous Planet is the first official live album by British new wave band Tears For Fears and includes four new studio tracks. Only the U.S. Target store exclusive releases on vinyl and cd, the Japan cd release, and one European cd release include a bonus fifth studio track, "Landlocked."
To coincide with these media releases, Tears for Fears released a concert film shot and recorded at the U.S. outdoor venue FirstBank Amphitheater at Graystone Quarry in Franklin, Tennessee, during their sold-out global Tipping Point Tour Part 2. "Tears For Fears Live (A Tipping Point Film)" premiered in over 1,100 cinemas worldwide with showings only on October 24th and 26th 2024. The concert film was preceded by an opening conversation with Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith reflecting on their forty-year musical journey. At the conclusion of the concert film, videos of the "four new studio tracks" were presented.
