On "Right Down the Line," the Americana icon sings of romance atop a slippery, organ-backed reggae beat, while on "Split Decision," she nearly snarls, shooting pointed lyrics over fuzzy rock guitar. She even takes on Bob Dylan’s "Standing in the Doorway," moving as slowly as the night described in the lyrics while steel guitar swells in the background.
