Sky Is Mine is an Alt/Indie album by The Duke Spirit, originally released in 2017. On Gatefold: 2 pressings tracked.
About
Where The Duke Spirit's music once came caked in bluesy grit, Sky Is Mine finds them further evolving into a cinematic pop-noir outfit. The grimy, bass-grooved “Magenta” and the urgent “YoYo” bear traces of their formative swagger, but Sky Is Mine reaches the stratosphere via shape-shifting ballads like “Bones of Proof,” whose starlight twinkle mutates into a symphony of dissonance. And on “See Power,” they follow The Jesus and Mary Chain’s lead by smearing ‘60s girl-group sounds in a narcotic haze.
